These Fresh Strawberry Mojitos are a delightful twist on the classic Cuban cocktail. They combine the sweetness of fresh strawberries, the refreshing coolness of mint, the tartness of lime, and the smooth kick of Lorenz Crafted Spirit for a truly invigorating drink. Perfect for a hot summer day or any occasion that calls for a vibrant and flavorful cocktail.
Ingredients
- 6 6 Fresh Strawberries, hulled, plus extra for garnish
- Fresh Mint Leaves
- 1 Lime
- 4 oz Lorenz Crafted Spirit
- Ice
- Lime-flavored Club Soda (or plain club soda)
Instructions
- In two tall glasses, add 3 strawberries and a few mint leaves to each.
- Muddle the strawberries and mint together until the strawberries are broken down and the mint is fragrant.
- Cut the lime in half. Slice two thin rounds from the middle and add one to each glass.
- Squeeze the juice from the remaining lime halves, dividing it evenly between the two glasses.
- Add approximately ¼ cup (2 oz) of the cooled simple syrup to each glass.
- Pour 2 oz of Lorenz Crafted Spirit (or white rum) into each glass.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Fill each glass with ice.
- Top with lime-flavored club soda to your preference.
- Garnish with extra mint sprigs and strawberry slices, if desired.
Notes
Tips and Variations:
- Adjust Sweetness: Use more or less simple syrup depending on your desired sweetness level.
- Other Berries: Add other berries like raspberries or blueberries along with the strawberries for a mixed berry mojito.
- Make it a Pitcher: This recipe can easily be multiplied to make a pitcher of mojitos for a crowd. Just muddle the strawberries and mint in a large pitcher, add the lime juice, simple syrup, and rum, then stir well. Add ice and top with club soda just before serving.
